Greek Name Days
Some name days may have a fixed date in the year. For example, the name Christos is celebrated on 25 December, while Constantine and Helen are celebrated on 21 May. Other name days are not fixed but constantly change from year to year; these usually have a link to the celebration of Greek Orthodox Easter, which also changes the date of celebration every year. For example, the name Thomas is celebrated the first Sunday after Easter Sunday; the name George is celebrated on 23 April, unless that date is in the period of Lent, in which case the celebration is held on Easter Monday.
