Villa Aeolus Overview
A fusion of Greek and Italian design, Villa Aeolus is a masterpiece of modern architecture, set in the stunning northern countryside of Crete, the largest of the Greek islands.Upon arrival at the villa, you will find two private parking spaces and entry to the villa via a secure gate. The main entrance leads into the large open plan living/dining area with an ultra-modern kitchen. There is a large L-shaped sofa with room for the whole group, in front of a splendid coffee table and 42” satellite television. This area is flooded with light from the vast glass doors which open out onto the large terrace area and the garden. There is a beautiful dining table in this area, should you choose to dine indoors, however, there is an exquisite courtyard alongside this living area, which also has a large dining table and fabulous lighting. The adjoining kitchen is equipped with the best quality appliances and all the latest mod cons to make cooking throughout your stay a pleasure. As well as the large dining table, there are stools by the kitchen island, creating a perfect breakfast bar.
On this ground floor there are two double bedrooms with a delightfully modern, elegant design, flooded with natural light from the vast patio doors, which open out to a gorgeous terrace area and the large garden. Both rooms have rustic interior walls and wooden floors and panelling to create a sense of tradition and nature, in an otherwise thoroughly modern design.
The third bedroom, the master-suite, is found on the first floor, via a glass panelled walkway overlooking the garden. It has a king-size bed, high-quality furniture and plenty of storage, as well as luxurious ensuite bathroom facilities with locally produced, organic toiletries. There is a spacious shower with massaging air-jets, and a beautifully therapeutic Jacuzzi for your private use. Alongside this room is a beautiful first-floor balcony, with two very comfortable seats and fantastic views of the leafy surroundings, with the sea in the distance! There are two bathrooms on the ground floor, one with a shower with hydro massage air-jets, and the other with a WC. All three bathrooms are marble-panelled with wooden flooring and come with bathrobes, fluffy towels and the finest Cretan toiletries.
The garden offers a whole range of seating and relaxation zones, as well as a vast, shimmering private pool. You can treat yourself to an incredible outdoor dining experience in the courtyard, or else relish in a glass of wine on the veranda, or seek a little shade amongst the orange trees of the garden. The large lawn expands around the villa, enveloping you in a warm band of nature and calm. There are various chairs and sun loungers around the pool – the perfect place to relax in the sun before a cooling dip in the luxurious pool.
In a private, peaceful location just a short drive from the fantastic city of Chania, overlooking the mountains of Platanias, this is the ideal location for a calm break in the heart of nature.

Villa Aeolus Location
Chania, the capital of Crete, is one of the most famous towns of the Greek islands, particularly for its authentic culture and character and historic structures including its beautiful Venetian Harbour. It is an incredibly well-preserved Venetian town with all kinds of Medieval architecture, framing a bustling metropolis of museums, churches, narrow shopping streets, waterfront restaurants and crafts shops. Alongside the stunning coastal areas and mountainous landscapes are an array of outstanding remains and glorious buildings of an ancient era, including a picturesque harbourfront and interesting venetian lighthouse.
Chania is also the perfect location to try all kinds of local cuisine, wine and traditional feasts – some of the best local restaurants include: The Well of the Turk, Antigoni, Karnagio, Chrysostomos and Above Chania. Furthermore, for educational and historical adventures you can visit the Maritime Museum, or the Archaeological Museum, or take a trip to one of the many surrounding monasteries or historical sites including the Samaria Gorge, Venizelos Graves or the unique architectural complex of Tabakaria.
To the north of the island are the more touristic beach areas, and to the south are the more secluded and traditional beaches, punctuated by small seaside villages, and of course there are thousands of deserted coves and isolated bays for private enjoyment, if you look hard enough! The West Coast beaches of soft sand and coloured pebbles, such as Falasarna, are around 38km away from Villa Aeolus, and the South Coast beaches with beautiful crystal-clear waters, including Sougia, are about 53km away.
