Villa Chania B Overview
Located in Chania; one of the most beautiful places in Crete and celebrated for its stunning Venitian harbour and architecture heavily influenced by Turkish design, is Villa Chania B. A stylishly decorated maisonette that accommodates up to 6 guests across 3 bedrooms, and offers beautiful panoramic sea views. The ground floor features an open plan layout consisting of living, dining and kitchen areas. The decor reveals a festive Meditteranean flavour with tones of rich terracotta and cream, paired with dark wooden furniture and light-coloured stone tile flooring. There is plenty of seating in the living area with large comfy modern-style sofas in cream and brown, scattered with plump cushions in shades of burnt orange and rich purples. There are large windows which makes the whole space feel light and airy, and a curved stone corner pillar features an open fireplace, which, along with the warm colour scheme, provide a real homely feel. Your entertainment needs are taken care of in this room too with a flat screen plasma TV, CD and DVD player, as well as free WiFi. The room flows seamlessly into the dining and kitchen area where guests will find a contemporary style dining table that comfortably seats up to 6, as well as a well-equipped kitchen featuring electric oven and hob, microwave, and large fridge-freezer. The terracotta tones of the living area fade out here into cream walls, which perfectly complement the rich wood of the countertops and kitchen units, and the slate grey tiled splashbacks.
The ground floor also houses a twin bedroom, as well as a bathroom which features a walk-in shower and is decorated in a classic style with fresh white tiles and deep chocolate accents. The other two bedrooms are located on the first floor and consist of another twin, and a double, as well as a bathroom with bathtub. The double room is decorated in neutral shades of the lightest taupe and cream, with a dark wooden framed bed with white lace canopy, making for a stylish and romantic look. Burnt orange cushions atop the light fawn bedspread add a pop of colour, and there are bedside cabinets and lamps in white and dark woods, which contrast nicely with the light stone tiled floors. The modern and minimalist style continues through to the twin bedrooms, both of which feature two single beds and feature furniture in heavy chocolate woods, including wardrobes and framed mirrors. Headboards in soft grey, butterscotch coloured cushions and bedspreads in the palest shades of pearlescent pink and blue blend beautifully with walls of bitter lemon and fresh grapefruit, making these rooms eclectic, colourful, and inviting. Both rooms on the first floor have a private balcony, perfect for enjoying that first morning cuppa, while drinking in the incredible views of olive groves on the mountainside. From here you’ll be able to survey all that Villa Chania B has to offer, including a beautiful garden area, outdoor dining space and bbq, as well as a swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers and parasols, idea for lazing the day away in the sunshine, maybe with a cocktail in hand, before taking a leisurely dip.

Villa Chania B Location
Chania in Crete is known for its wide variety of architectural styles that have drawn inspiration from all over the world, of particular interest is the harbour, old port and lighthouse, all well worth a visit while you are here. With a vast array of waterfront restaurants and cafes you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to where to eat, and with cuisine on offer that is influenced from all corners of the globe, as well as traditional Greek dishes, you might want to put that diet off until you get back! Chania itself is rich in culture and heritage and offers plenty in the way of sightseeing, including museums and churches, as well as the natural beauty of the great outdoors. The district of Tabakaria which can be found on the rocky eastern side of Chania is home to the old leather processing houses, and some of them are still operational today. Chosen for its abundant brackish waters, used for softening the leather, and its closeness to the city, the buildings here are made of stone with tile roofs and constitute a unique architectural complex that are fascinating to visit.Within Chania itself, or its surrounding villages, you’ll find tavernas to visit, public gardens and the open air theatre - which houses various musical and theatrical performances throughout the year, as well as a variety of beaches to explore. Chania’s own beach features great family-friendly facilities such as lounger and parasol hire, but can get quite busy during peak seasons. Luckily there are numerous other beaches in the surrounding areas; some more secluded, some with sand and shingle, and some lined with beach bars and cafes; so you’re sure to find somewhere to suit everyone!
